We’re excited to invite you to our next Product Design Talks by Ergománia, where we’ll explore one of the most forward-looking shifts in digital product design today: Sentient Design. As digital products become more complex, users are increasingly expected to adapt—to learn interfaces, navigate endless options, and make sense of systems that weren’t designed with real-life context in mind. But what if products adapted to users instead? Coined by Josh Clark, Sentient Design moves digital experiences beyond rigid self-service tools toward intelligent partners. Instead of forcing users to figure things out, sentient interfaces anticipate intent, respond to context, and dynamically adjust the UI. Think of landing in Tokyo and having your banking app immediately surface currency exchange, nearby ATMs, and travel-relevant insights—without being asked. This event looks at what happens when products become more adaptive and responsive—and how this approach fits alongside established UX principles, business realities, and ethical.
We’ll welcome you with fresh coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. Arrive early, settle in, and start the conversation before the session begins.
In this session, we’ll break down what it really takes to design sentient products. You’ll see how an application can move beyond static flows and surface-level UX to create context-aware, adaptive experiences—and how this shift drives clarity, efficiency, and measurable impact with the help of AI.
Design leaders and experts from product, UX, and strategy will share perspectives and real-world examples of sentient design in practice.
We’ll explore how ideas like sentient design fit into today’s product and UX landscape—without treating them as a silver bullet. Starting from the basics, we’ll discuss what experiences designed to respond to user situations and real-world conditions can realistically offer, and where more traditional UX approaches still make sense.
The panel will look at practical questions teams face: when anticipation helps users, when it gets in the way, and how to balance adaptability with clarity, trust, and control. Through real-world examples, we’ll compare different design approaches and share lessons from what has (and hasn’t) worked in practice.
The goal isn’t to define the future—but to better understand the trade-offs behind designing products that respond to users in smarter ways.
Let’s continue the conversation. Share ideas, challenge assumptions, and connect with others who are shaping the future of digital products. Whether you’re curious about sentient interfaces or already designing adaptive systems, this is your space to exchange insights with like-minded peers.
